Nana - The Movie

Posted by William L at 8:26 AM 0 comments
Just finished watching Nana.

The manga derives its title from the name of the two main characters, both of whom are called Nana. What sets them apart, however, is the stark difference between their lives. One Nana comes from a small town, following along with her friends and boyfriend to Tokyo with the hope of having the dream life that she wishes for. The other Nana, on the other side, comes to Tokyo with the goal of making it big with her band, Black Stones.

Internet Explorer Alternatives continued... (Why 3 browser in a PC is better than just IE)

Posted by William L at 8:01 AM 0 comments
My strategies for using these browser is as follow:

My main browser is always Opera (I never set it as default browser as it cause incompatibilities with MSN Messenger. It is very tedious when i need to check Hotmail)

Use IE as a Default browser but only use them for Windows Updates and in situation when Opera is unable display or function the way it is intended to.

Mozilla is my alternative browser as a proxy browser where i am able to access to stuff that was not accessible to me previously. There is a good link the provides a whole lot of anonymous proxy link. You may want to check if law in your country is prohitbitng the use of proxies server before you source for one.

Oh...and one more thing, be sure to apply immunization for your browser if you intend to run 3 browsers. Click here

Internet Explorer alternatives

Introducing two alternative browser that works just as well as IE(Although there might still be some incompatbility).

Opera (Close Source) and Mozilla Firefox (Open Source).

Opera
Mozilla Firefox

What's so good about these two browser?

In my personal opinion, i feel Opera loads faster and more lightweight meaning some scripts are not supported. Downside is some of the php and aspx sites are not functionally properly e.g (www.Battle.net). However its still my first choice browser for its security.

Mozilla has got lots of plugins and it very user friendly espcially when it comes to Customising of Plugins. Supporting most of the sites that Opera cannot support.

Ubuntu 9.04!!! Counting Down

Posted by William L at 1:44 PM 0 comments
Two weeks time.

That's the rough estimation for the launch of this widely supported Open Source Operating System. What's good about this Linux various its its well know for ease of use through supporting various device wtihout the hassle of finding drivers online.

For Ubuntu, i always give them a credit of minimum of 4.5/5 star

Usually they can offer a free copy of CD to your home if u request it via their website with the condition that u promise to share em among your friends and families.

Check em out now @ www.ubuntu.com

Are you a Victim of Malware? Preventive Measures here

Use the following software as a immunization for bad address. It could be a saver in protecting ur PC before a disaster arrives leaving you panicking for data loss.

Spybot Search and Destory
Spyware Blaster
HijackThis

Theese are the most basic but suffcient (If you know Do's & Don't on the net) forms of protection for you system apart from using Antivirus software and Firewalls.

One good and free Antivirus i can recommend is Avast! Antivirus.

And Remember, Regular Update and Scanning is essential including OS and other Utilities Patches.
